Creating & Sustaining a World-Class Culture

Creating and Sustaining a World-Class Culture is one of The Program’s flagship services and a critical component to ensure alignment throughout any organization. It is a guided discussion, three to four hours in duration, where your organization’s core values and standards are determined. We then work with your leaders to define roles and responsibilities in order to create a culture of accountability in support of each.

FOCAL POINTS
A world-class culture requires three key components:

Best People: The best people aren’t just talented. They also embody their team’s core values. We will help leaders and their teams determine and define their three or four core values.
Goals and Standards: Goals are performance-based. They reinforce what we want to achieve. Standards are behavior-based. They reinforce our core values. All teams have goals. World-class teams have goals and standards. We help leaders determine both.
Commitment: All members of a team must be committed to achieving goals and meeting and exceeding standards. The Program will work with your organization to create a culture of personal and team accountability.

On-Site Consulting

Prior to all on-site consulting visits, your Program Consultant will call your leader to discuss and learn about the team.

They will:

Discuss expectations of the visit.
Discuss and coordinate the location and scheme of maneuver.
Discuss progress and challenges since the last contact, if applicable.

What you can expect during the on-site consulting visit:

Your Program Consultant will conduct a one-day visit with the assigned leader and will accompany that leader to all meetings, as appropriate, throughout the day.
Your Program Consultant conducts a short debrief with that leader at the end of the visit.

Areas of focus during the on-site consulting visit:

Meeting and exceeding the standards of being a great teammate and leader
A leader’s ability to effectively communicate:
o Use of the golden rule of communication
o Speaking with C.L.A.P.P.P.
o Listening to understand not to respond
o Use of a back brief
o Battlefield communication

What to expect after the on-site consulting visit:

Within one week after the on-site visit, your Program Consultant conducts a one-on-one video call with each leader visited to go over a post-visit evaluation. Direct supervisors may be included in post-visit reviews.
At the end of each month, your team will receive an executive summary of that month’s consulting visits.

Follow-ups to the on-site consulting visit:

Your Program Consultant will join your leader for any of their team’s meetings throughout each month.
Your Program Consultant will conduct monthly one-on-one video calls with all your leaders visited throughout the year. These calls will occur only in non-visit months and begin the month after the first visit.
Your Program Consultant will keep a coaching log for each of your leaders.
The coaching log will detail areas of strength and improvement identified during the on-site consulting visit with an emphasis on improving communication, specifically:
o Goals
o Challenges
o Progress since the last meeting
o Plan of action between now and the next meeting

What you can expect from Executive Coaching:

Executives will be paired with a dedicated Program Consultant
Your Program Consultant will work with you to analyze current leadership challenges
Virtual and in-person sessions
Extensive debriefs at regular intervals

Our executive coaching services will demonstrate and instill:

The roles of a leader
Organizational development strategies
Accountability for plan execution and tangible results of short and long-term goals

Team Effectiveness

The Program’s Team Effectiveness Exercise develops the skill of direct, 360-degree, behavioral feedback on teams. We help your team promote a culture of transparency and accountability.

This exercise creates a forum in which participants are encouraged to break down common barriers to direct feedback and constructive criticism. Participants will receive clear, actionable understanding from their teammates about what they are doing well and how they can improve their performance, behavior, leadership, and teamwork.

While this workshop is very impactful as a standalone exercise, it can be even more powerful following a Leadership Challenge, as participants will have already broken down barriers to direct communication and experienced a powerful team bonding event.
